Rode 13 miles this morning starting at a bit before 5am. Goal was to ride down to the River from my place - dirt road/track. I haven't ridden this yet,but I have driven it several months ago. It was a blast. Challenging in that it was dark for the first half. Nothing like riding by cheap, Bell bike light on an unfamiliar trail. My first half was slower than I could have done it due to the above mentioned challenge, the second half was surprisingly faster even though it was slightly uphill. I think maybe I've tweaked enough - very little hand numbness this morning. I actually felt like I knew what I was doing.
Headed to Cruces tonight with Hubby only...first weekend in 4 years without little ones, I'm excited and nervous. Not nervous about hubby, but leaving my babies behind. I have an appointment at a bike shop there with my MTB. Hope to see if they can help me tweak the bike a bit more, and get fit for a road bike. Maybe buy a better headlight if they got one...new bike shoes? Also Jeff's going to an auction hoping to buy a tractor, but they have like 150 bikes in it, so I hope to come home with one to at least rob parts from, like a second wheel set for my trusty MTB. Hope to get some hill running in too.
PS...Blues are gone, but the pool situation still pisses me off. -Later
